Forgot My Favorite PG Rated Sensual Moment!

I am shocked and appalled.

Favorite non-sexual sensual moment:

Sitting in my coma chair (nice soft buttery letter, so comfortable you are comatose in no time) or the comfy couch (oh, please, not the comfy couch, thanks Monty Python) with a new (to me) book (or an old favorite), smelling the leather or the flowers in the living room, the new (or old) pages of the book, and starting to read. This does not apply to reading anything by Bulwer Lytton. More along the lines of Atwood, Tyler, Vargas Llosa, or any good book. This experience can be improved by the addition of any or all of the following: (1) round happy sleeping Foilbaby on lap; (2) slim but solid Foilkid using Mom as her coma-person; (3) freshly baked chocolate chip cookies; (4) glass of milk; (5) Brandenburg Concertos on CD player (or Talking Heads or Dire Straights or Aretha or Carmen or whatever); (6) purring cat next to baby on lap; (7) some good knitting alongside (in case the book is boring, needs a break, my hands get fidgety, whatever). Obviously, this can be improved even more by a simultaneous foot massage and a handsome young thing peeling me grapes and feeding them to me.

Brendenburg Concertos, nice. Only other stuff that is a top contender are The Goldberg Variations. The only thing I can think of that is nicer than a coma chair is a hammock. Since they are weather sensitive, though, they will always be second to a good comfy chair.

Haha! Cookie Monster, you are so naive! What education you have in store.

If you like old movies, you will have heard of Mae West, Seduction Machine. In one of her movies, she asks her maid to peel her a grape. You don't NEED it, it's the ultimate in indulgence, when you have someone do it for you.

I once asked a significant other for that service, jokingly; he did it!
Was I grateful...and he got the benefit. Pointers for you to remember later.

More Useless Than My Cat (Aka Rainypete): Goldberg Variations are great. And the best interpretation I have heard is by that peerless Canadian, Glenn Gould.

Spexial: yup.

Cookie: Oh, I'll tell you sometime, privately.

Innana: Yes, the willingness of someone to do something unnecessary and frivolous just because it would please is in and of itself a pleasure.
